Hey Sarah - someone I know went to Dr. Genesis and I can tell you why it hurt so much... she is too cheap to use enough of the gel that is supposed to keep your skin from getting burned by the laser. The woman I know got 2nd degree burns behind her knees that infected up and it left swollen open sores the size of quarters. She went to get the hair lasered off her legs and walked out burnt to a crisp. She also begged the technician to stop because of the pain and the technician lowered the intensity for awhile but the damage was done. When she tried to complain, she basically got treated how you did and got run out of the clinic. She would call the clinic and Dr. Genesis' staff would scream at her for harassment when all she wanted was a partial refund for the injury. Dr. Genesis would put her on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up the phone. She then went into the clinic one day because Dr. Genesis wouldn’t talk to her over the phone and when she walked in and said who she was and why she was there, the receptionist yelled at her to leave and never come back. She then filed a claim against Dr. Genesis with the Better Business Bureau. I'm not sure what happened after that.

Yes she was very unimpressed that I mentioned her lateness. I was certain that next time I'd go to a different place, however it has been almost three weeks now since and I am very impressed with the results. I'll end up going there again despite the tardy cranky doctor

You're funny, Sarah. :-) You look nothing like Sylar/new Spock, but I'll give you a +2 geek bonus for referencing him twice in the same blog post.

So, what is the difference between this laser and the one you used before? Is it a different type? Are they about the same price/session? I can't believe it was so much worse this time, sorry.

And I can't believe Dr. Genesis (if that's even her real name). Really, she should have just acknowledged being late and apologized. She prolly still would have charged your card if you had stormed out.
